MEET KHAILA
Khaila Marie Espinoza (She/Her) is a freelance dancer and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. She began her professional dance career in Jacksonville and Miami, Florida. She was awarded scholarships to both The Ailey School and the Martha Graham School Professional Certificate Programs. Throughout her career, Khaila has explored a variety of dance styles and techniques, pushing her creativity and artistic potential. She has worked with and grown alongside several renowned dance studios, including Suzanne Saltmarsh Dance, Jacksonville Center for the Arts, Cooper Morgan Dance, Riverside Dance Studio, and Peter London Global Dance Company. Most recently, Khaila has collaborated with the SaraAika Dance Project. Currently, she is a member of two New York-based companies: The Dynamite Experience and Clymove. Khaila draws inspiration from choreographers who explore innovative movement and teaching philosophies, and enjoys performing for community-based projects in NYC. Her aspirations include creating new work/choreography, and loves teaching a diverse range of ages, sharing the joy and passion she has for dance. This is Khaila’s second season with CLYMOVE.
