SAMARA TAYLOR

Samara Taylor (NY, NY) was born in Palo Alto, California, and began her formal dance training as a Junior Division student at The Ailey School, where she continued to study as a scholarship recipient throughout high school. Ms. Taylor would go on to graduate with a certificate in Contemporary Dance from the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Professional Program (HSPRO) with the 2017-2019 inaugural class, under the direction of Alexandra Wells. In 2019, she moved back to NYC to dance for Parisa Khobdeh Dance Company. Her training has been supplemented by Summer programs with Paul Taylor Dance Company, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance (London, UK), Eliot Smith Dance (Newcastle, UK), Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She has performed works by Peter Chu, Hofesh Shechter, Yin Yue, Rena Butler, Alice Klock & Florian Lochner of FLOCK, Robyn Mineko-Williams, Aszure Barton, Toru Shimazaki, Fredrick Earl Mosley, Parisa Khobdeh, Laura Halzack, José Limón, Alvin Ailey, and Paul Taylor. Samara is a teaching artist with the Taylor School and current company dancer for Laura Halzack & CLYMOVE Dance.
